ROBERT TEVERBAUGH

Realtor by day, Robert has come full circle on his mad journey through careers. In past lives, he’s been a welder, personal trainer and aerobics instructor (time and gravity catch us all), fork lift operator, cater waiter, actor and director. After a protracted hiatus, he’s returned to his first love. Robert studied acting at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and acted in productions with Running with Scissors, Terrapin Theater, Stage Left, and Chicago Dramatists Workshop, among others. He played Belize in Angels In America with The Journeymen, Aaron in Titus Andronicus with Shakespeare’s Motley crew, and was an ensemble member in The Expense of Spirit, which premiered at the storied Bailiwick and had a short run at Here in New York. Last year, he was seen in Six Stories Up in The Deep Blue Sea and Grindylow and Connor. He also played Bear in Six Stories Up in Climate Change. In his spare time, he’s an avid gardener and home cook. Last year, his garden achieved a Chicago Gardening Excellence Award for residential ornamental gardening. Robert will co-facilitate a new, timely workshop for Tellin’ Tales Theatre in August 2020 entitled Hands Up – Race in America.
