HOW YOUR GIFTS HELP CHANGE LIVES IN OUR COMMUNITY

$1000 – Helps underwrite the mentorship for a student apprentice in a Six Stories Up production
$500 – Covers the cost for a lighting or set designer for one show
$250 – Underwrites sign interpretation or audio description making a production fully accessible
$100 – Funds an adult solo performer with disabilities to attend a workshop
$50 – Sponsors one participant in the Young Adult Writers Workshop
$25 – Provides scripts for apprentices, or complimentary tickets for those unable to pay

Celia, an apprentice from year’s Six Stories Up in Equality (2014), has an amazing story like so many who have come before her.  She is a living testimony of someone who never gives up.
“As a childhood cancer survivor I have always wanted to really, really advocate and express the need for research for childhood cancer because it is underfunded in the cancer world. Being in Tellin’ Tales Theatre’s Six Stories Up in Equality gave me a chance to finally do this on a big scale. I am very honored that I reached so many hearts with my story. I want to thank my mentor, Mary, for helping me express my story in a way that made me feel proud. I am so glad I got the chance to participate in this wonderful experience with Tellin’ Tales and enlighten so many.”  ~ Celia B

This production (Six Stories Up in Equality- 2014) has been a profound experience for Jessie and our entire family. I don’t know how to put into words, but—Jessie’s sense of herself has completely transformed. The pairing of her with Ben and Matt was inspired. I still remember them hearing them laughing and interrupting each other while they developed the script. And Tekki you are a magnetic and charismatic creative force. Your smile always makes me smile, and I’m not a big smiler. I love the love you put into the show and your magic in creating community. I could go on and on, but that’s all for now.
