Middle school students at an Alaskan summer camp discover a magical totem pole that holds the secrets to slowing down climate change. When a greedy developer levels the sacred relic, they must find a way to reconstruct it and save the earth.
Six Stories Up in Climate Change is the culmination of an annual mentoring program that pairs adults and children with and without disabilities to write a 10-12 minute theater piece on the theme. Each team is encouraged to sprinkle their scene with personal stories to help them connect to the theme. The entire group comes together to weave the pieces into a full-length show, which is beautifully produced with original music, fanciful masks and innovative sets. This year is no exception!
